Counseling Center

Counseling Center staff members provide confidential counseling to Missouri S&T students. Counseling sessions are provided free of charge by professionally trained and licensed counselors and/or psychologists. Services are based on a brief-treatment model and are time-limited. Staff members work collaboratively with members of the S&T community to help clarify issues, support existing strengths, address issues, and, when appropriate, arrange referrals. Please vist this link to learn more.

Disability Support Services

Missouri S&T is committed to promoting academic success and personal growth for our students. A disability does not have to be a barrier to a student's success. The staff of Disability Support Services understands the unique challenges a student with a disability faces and our goal is to provide reasonable and appropriate accommodative services to ensure equal access to all that Missouri S&T offers. Students with disabilities or who suspect they may have a disability are strongly encouraged to visit this link to learn more about the services provided through DSS.

A comprehensive schedule of where to find help in many subjects is available here, compliments of the Learning Enhancement Across Disciplines (LEAD) program. Both Learning Centers and walk-in tutoring are provided for many subjects. This site also contains a link for requesting that LEAD sessions be added in courses not already covered.

The Curtis Laws Wilson library provides a range of resources and services for undergraduate students. Please not especially the Research Assistance Program, which provides in depth consultations and assistance on students' requested research topics.

Math Help Room

The Math Department provides walk-in assistance for math courses up through Math 22. Help is available more than twenty hours a week during the spring and fall semesters; see schedule here.

Writing Center

Friendly and enthusiastic peer tutors work individually with undergraduate students in any class or major. The tutors are excellent writers who are specially trained to help others become strong writers as well. They provide coaching, feedback, and suggestions on a wide range of topics including brainstorming, thesis statements, outlines, evidence, format, citations, and more.
